Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge By Yokohama

I’m a father of four, (Cole, Rae, Ben and Vince) splitting time between our homes in Indianapolis, IN and Telluride, CO. Trying to keep up on the snowboard with my kids keeps me young. I grew up in a racing family, my Dad is a 2 time SCCA National Champion, so I was fortunate enough to travel around the country visiting all the great road courses. Living in Indianapolis and attending over 30 Indy 500s plus all those summer days at the track with my Dad had infested me with the racing bug at an early age.

As a kid in high school, I started my racing career Auto Crossing in parking lots with my 1972 240Z, then graduating to my competition license in SCCA. I was the National Collegiate Driving Champion in a Dodge Daytona in 1985 and again in 86. Always a motorcycle enthusiast until a nasty accident on a 900 Kawasaki Ninja, I decided to try riding on water instead of pavement. Water is more forgiving. I raced both old school stand up Jet Skis and sit down types for nearly a decade in the Pro Modified Ranks all over the country in the IJSBA. Getting married and raising a family put a hold on my racing career until just a few years ago. I began racing a Porsche 944 Turbo in the SVRA. I was fortunate to win the SVRA National Championship in 2014 setting track records at Watkins Glen, Indianapolis and Road America.

Now driving a 2014 and 2016 Porsche GT3 Cup Car with Kelly-Moss starts a new exciting challenge. I am hopeful to keep the family racing spirit alive. Godspeed!
