My passion for racing and cars began well before I could drive; owning two muscle cars at 15 – looking back it’s really funny talking your mom into test driving a 350HP ‘66 Chevelle with a four speed. Throughout high school I had several muscle cars and worked in a foreign car repair shop where I got exposed to BMW, VW, and Porsche which opened my eyes to lightweight, great handling cars. Road racing was my dream, but funding wasn’t available. My racing dream went dormant while getting my family and career established, during that time my wife and I toured the country on our Harley. When we became parents the Harley was sold – so I thought it was the perfect time to try autocross (gateway drug) – as they say one thing leads to another – several years of track days with motorcycles and cars it was time to get my racing license at Bob Bondurant’s school. I started racing in SCCA and Pirelli World Challenge in a Maserati GranTurismo MC GT4 in 2016. My Porsche racing passion has never quieted for 35 years, so now I’m taking my first steps into a 991.1 Cup car and the 2017 IMSA GT3 Cup series that will take my racing to the next level.
